| Position Description |
Responsible for preventing, evaluating, treating, and rehabilitating athletic injuries for assigned programs within Texas Tech Athletics. The Athletic Trainer works closely with coaches, physicians, athletic department staff, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement injury prevention programs and return-to-play protocols. This position may oversee full-time athletic trainers and assist or supervise student athletic trainers. |
| Qualifications |
Master's degree in athletic training or certification as an athletic trainer, plus a minimum of three years of experience as an athletic trainer at the collegiate or professional level. Additional related education may substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis. Must be certified as an athletic trainer in the United States and be expected to obtain a Texas license. |
