Position Class Title	Librarian of Law
Position Description	Performs highly complex professional and administrative functions in the operation of a specialized section in the law library this rank is reserved for those whose stature in the law library profession is of recognized excellence and conferred upon those whose leadership extend beyond local context and whose dedication have produced accomplishments that are widely acknowledged. Work is performed under general supervision with latitude for individual initiative and judgment. Contributes to the university's mission through teaching, research, and service.
Qualifications	Juris Doctor from an ABA accredited program. Master's degree in Library Science (or equivalent) from an ALA accredited program. Knowledge of professional law library techniques and current law library practices. Demonstrated record of effectiveness as a teacher, a record of publications and/or creative activity which has contributed to the discipline or field of study, to the candidate's intellectual development, and to the quality of the academic enterprise; a record of professional service appropriate to the discipline; promise of growth in teaching and research or creative activity.
