Assistant Librarian of Law

Performs complex professional and administrative functions in the operation of a specialized section of the law library; must cooperate and function as part of a team to provide services to all law library users. This is an entry-level rank assigned to those beginning their professional careers or those, who upon their appointment, do not meet the criteria of Associate Librarian of Law. Work is performed under general supervision with latitude for individual initiative and judgment. Contributes to the university's mission through teaching, research, and service.

Juris Doctor from an ABA accredited program.
Master's degree in Library Science (or equivalent) from an ALA accredited program.
Demonstrated record of effectiveness as a teacher, a record of publications and/or creative activity which has contributed to the discipline or field of study, to the candidate's intellectual development, and to the quality of the academic enterprise; a record of professional service appropriate to the discipline; promise of growth in teaching and research or creative activity.
