| Position Description |
The Enterprise IT Business Analyst I is responsible for understanding and documenting business processes within Texas Tech University departments. This role is a liaison between IT and functional departments, assisting in technology-related requests and ensuring alignment between business needs and IT solutions. The position also involves developing and maintaining analytical documentation and internal IT procedures. As part of the central IT Division, this role may interface with key IT and functional leadership across Texas Tech University System institutions.

Key Responsibilities Maintain a strong understanding of institutional business processes. Conduct basic business analysis to identify and document business needs.Translate business use cases into technical requirements for IT initiatives. Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. |
| Qualifications |
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business, Computer Science, MIS or similar field and 1 year of related experience. Additional job-related experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in higher education with exposure to business processes, business analyst training, or work experience in functional departments. |
