| Position Description |
As public information officer for the Texas Tech Police Department (TTPD), you will serve as a liaison between the TTPD and the Marketing & Communications office, playing a critical role in enhancing communication and transparency, building positive relationships with the campus community and effectively and accurately disseminating information. Reporting to leadership in both the TTPD and Marketing & Communications, you will be responsible for managing police-related public relations, media inquiries and communication strategies to promote a safe and secure campus environment. | Qualifications |
Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, public relations or a related field. Previous experience in communications, marketing or public relations, preferably in a higher education or law enforcement setting. FEMA Public Information Officer (PIO) Program credentials are a plus. |
