Library to host panel on 'Marvel Comics into Film'

Editors Robert Moses Peaslee, College of Media & Communication, Robert G. Weiner,
pop culture librarian, and Matt McEniry, assistant librarian, will participate in
a panel discussion on the book, “Marvel Comics into Film: Essays on Adaptations Since
the 1940s.”
The event will begin at 6 p.m. Oct. 13 in the University Librarys Croslin Room
and will be moderated by KTTZs Paul Hunton.
Refreshments, book sale and signing will follow the panel discussion.
Films analyzed in the book include “Transformers” (1986), “Elektra” (2005), the “Conan
the Barbarian” franchise (1982-90), “Ultimate Avengers” (2006), “Ghost Rider” (2007)
and more.
