Texas Tech University

Open Educational Resources

Mission

The Texas Tech University Libraries Open Educational Resources (OER) Office promotes a successful learning environment by educating the university community on the benefits of open educational resource adoption in higher education.

Vision

The Texas Tech University Libraries Open Educational Resources (OER) Office will serve as an advocate for student success and work to reduce the cost of learning materials in the Texas Tech University System.

We will...

  • Advocate for the usage of OER or other low-to-no-cost options when faculty are selecting materials for courses.
  • Collaborate with various campus departments and organizations to encourage open conversations around textbook affordability.
  • Educate the campus community on the benefits of OER usage in classrooms and the impact that these cost savings can have on TTU students.

RAIDER Digital Publishing

RAIDER Digital Publishing aims to publish textbooks and educational resources created by TTU faculty to be used in TTU classrooms. Interested in creating OER?
