In a continuation of efforts to provide top-notch technology, the Library is pleased to announce the installation of new public computers on the ground floor and in the 3D Lab on the second floor, as well as remote access to the 3D Lab.
The ground floor features 165 new Dell computers with impressive numbers - OptiPlex
9010, quad core processors with 3.2 GHz, 8GB memory, 1 TB hard drives and all are
64 bit Windows 7 plus new mice and keyboards.
The 21 3D Lab computers have been replaced with much faster Dell T5600 models with
a quad core 3.3 GHz processor, 16GB of memory, NVIDIA Quadro 4000 professional 3D
graphics boards, and log on and launch times are significantly shorter. In addition,
all applications and resources available from inside the 3D Lab are also available
via remote access with eRaider at any time, from anywhere on any device, including
