AG*IDEA
Affiliate of Great Plains Distance Education Alliance
Welcome!
AG*IDEA (Agricultural Interactive Distance Education Alliance) is a consortium of
distinguished, accredited universities offering fully online education programs in
agriculture and related fields. Each university brings a unique strength in faculty
and curriculum to these multi-institution programs. Students choose a home university
where they apply, are admitted, register for courses, and receive their degree. Online
courses are taught by the best faculty in each discipline from several universities.
Students pay one common price per credit hour regardless of which university is their
degree-granting institution.
The College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources at Texas Tech is a member
of AG*IDEA, which is an affiliate of the Great Plains Interactive Distance Education
Alliance. Great Plains IDEA is a consortium of universities collaborating together
to offer interdisciplinary distance education programs to meet the diverse demand
for postsecondary education.
The AG*IDEA Consortium has multiple programs, including the graduate degree program in Agricultural Education and Horticulture at Texas Tech.
Tuition
By agreement among the AG*IDEA and Great Plains IDEA institutions, a common price
is charged for all courses. This eliminates the question of in-state and out-of-state
tuition depending on where the student is located and/or at which university the student
is enrolled.
Visit the TTU Tuition and Fees Page for current academic year prices and the Great Plains IDEA Page for more information.
