About the Course
- What: Professional Skills Bootcamp goes beyond clinical expertise to develop the interpersonal and leadership skills that drive team success, client trust, and personal fulfillment.
- Topics:
- Confident Communication: Practice real-time scenarios with professional actors to refine your virtual and in-person communication.
- Constructive Feedback: Learn how to give and receive feedback with clarity and empathy.
- Conflict Resolution: Navigate difficult conversations and negotiate effectively with colleagues and clients.
- Team Leadership: Understand personality dynamics and lead diverse veterinary teams with emotional intelligence.
- Financial Literacy: Explore cost-benefit analysis and personal finance strategies tailored to veterinary professionals.
- Mentorship & Wellbeing: Build resilience, foster mentorship relationships, and prioritize your physical and mental health.
- When:
- In-person delivery: March 27 – 29, 2026
- Virtual delivery: Follow-up one-hour online sessions on April 6, 13, 20, and May 10, 2026. Exact times to be scheduled and online links provided at a later date.
- Where: Hotel Vin, Grapevine, Texas
- 214 East Dallas Road, Grapevine, TX 76051
- Eligibility: Food animal practitioners or mixed animal practitioners with a strong food animal interest who are less than 7 years from graduation.
- Cost: Thanks to a USDA grant, attendance, hotel, and meals (evening of March 27 to morning of March 29) are provided. A $100 deposit will hold your place and be refunded after attendance. Travel is your responsibility.
