Texas Tech's Natural Resources Management Department groundbreaking 2+2 program is adding up to success. Technically knows as a Bachelor of Science in Conservation Law Enforcement, it's the first of its kind in the region.

A select group of Texas Tech agricultural communications students participated in a week-long trip to Washington, D.C., last month. Led by AEC Assistant Professor Courtney Meyers, the program focused on the nation's history, agricultural policy, and meetings with a dozen agricultural organizations. Attendees included Alexa Borowski, Jacy Bradford, Danielle Dobson, MacKenzie Fletcher, Kimber Hardie, Taylor Hicklen, Kelsey Jones, Kymbre Kupatt, William Nelson, Danielle White and Sadie Shaw.

Texas Tech's Meat Science Academic Quiz Bowl Team is basking in the glow of another national championship title today after winning top honors at this week's American Meat Science Association's Reciprocal Meat Conference. The Red Raiders took two teams to the Auburn, Ala., competition and ended up in a head-to-head battle with each other in the event's final round. The result: Texas Tech first and second place. Thirty-five teams from 16 states participated in the event.
