Studio E

Website: studioestories.blog

What We Are: Studio E is an interdisciplinary documentary lab operating out of the English Department at Texas Tech. We operate with the support of the Engaged Colleges Initiative, as well as the College of Arts & Sciences at Texas Tech. We define “documentary” broadly, and include writing, photography, audio, and film under that heading. We aim to support faculty members doing documentary work in their own scholarship and with their classes, as well as community members who want to use our resources to tell their own stories in their own ways. We are also at work on a West Texas Creative Atlas, which we add to as often as possible.

Director: Lucy Schiller

Location: HUMA 409

Services: Access to microphones, cameras for still photos and videos, an interview space, and staff to help with recording and editing podcasts, videos, and other A/V artifacts for classes, individual research projects, and other needs.

Cost: Free to individuals enrolled at, employed by, or teaching at TTU. Groups and organizations outside the English Department and/or Texas Tech can inquire at english.studioe@ttu.edu about the fee structure.
