Program Overview

This program will introduce students to wildlife conservation and veterinary issues in Africa. Students will travel to Bela Bela South Africa and the Rory Hensman Conservation and Research Unit to work on individual research projects to learn more about the behavior of elephants and to develop strategies to help protect wildlife through research, engineering and critical thinking. Students will learn about ongoing wildlife conservation projects in Africa and will visit with key members of these programs and the local community to participate and provide support to wildlife conservation. Students will get hands on experience providing care and support for animals, and will help long-term conservation efforts.
