Terms and Conditions
We look forward to working with you in the Crossroads Recording Studio! Before you record with us, you need to understand and agree to the following:
Behavior & Expectations
The Crossroads Recording Studio is for the Texas Tech University students, faculty, and staff. All projects must include significant participation by a member of the Texas Tech community and a valid Texas Tech email address for communication.
Our studio is built on respect, both of fellow performers and our staff.
We provide access to our equipment as a service to the university. Be respectful of studio equipment and handle it with care so that everyone can use it!
You are welcome to bring your own equipment if it helps your project. Studio staff will make every effort to care for your equipment as their own but you are still responsible for any gear you choose to bring.
Please help us keep the studio clean and keep lids on drinks.
Scheduling & Studio Time
Our staff make every effort to find the first available session time to fit your recording needs. Please help them by being clear and accurate when describing your recording needs.
Respond to all scheduling communication promptly. If you do not respond within one week, your tentative time may be used for another session.
We understand that life happens. Please notify studio staff of cancellations or changes to bookings at least 24 hours in advance whenever possible.
If something comes up and you are running late or unable to record, we appreciate you reaching out to studio staff as soon as possible to let us know. If we dont hear from you within 30 minutes of your session start time, your time may be used for another project.
Sometimes studio staff may suggest rescheduling or adding a session time to get the best out of a project.
Copyright & Recording Usage
Texas Tech University does not claim any ownership of material created and recorded in the Crossroads Recording Studio. Nor does it necessarily reflect the opinions and policies of Texas Tech University unless a project is specifically created by and for Texas Tech University.
If you choose to use or record material you did not write, you are responsible for procuring permissions and/or licensing to record any material that is subject to copyright. Studio staff can help point you in the right direction if you arent sure where to start.
After your project is done, you have the option to ask for a backup of your project data. Unless specifically requested otherwise, session data backups may be cleared after six months.
