Our Vision
The Interdisciplinary Information Services provide students, faculty, and staff with specialized information services across disciplines. These services include specialized request designed to meet the informational needs of our diverse student, faculty, and staff population. We recogniz the richness of our diverse population, and strive to provide resources specially curated to meet both the individual and collective needs of our patrons across disciplinary boundaries.
Our Mission
As part of the User Centered Services of Texas Tech University libraries, the mission of the Interdisciplinary Information Services is to support innovative learning, including:
- Supporting students' academic success and Interdisciplinary experiences beyond the classroom
- Providing academic support to students and information resources for research
- Identify and combating misinformation, disinformation, and miseducation through specialized educative programs
- Providing information services that promotes student wellness and well-being
Promoting information literacy and lifelong education amongst our student polpulation
Finally, the Interdisciplinary Information Services is committed to supporting a well-informed student community and the betterment of the society at large.
