Hawaii and London are only 12 hours away.
The Lubbock airport also serves UPS and FedEx, which has a freight distribution center
on the field.
Two private charter companies, Chaparral Aviation and Lubbock Aero, also utilize the
airport's runways.
Public transportation in Lubbock is operated by Citibus. The bus company also contracts
with Texas Tech to provide on-campus bus service to students, faculty and staff, as
well as off-campus shuttles from nearby apartment complexes.
