My name is Ruby Lira and am so honored to serve the 54th session as the Director of Political Affairs. I'm a first generation dual degree student in  Political Science and Marketing with a certificate in International Business and a Minor in French from La Vernia Texas. I am very involved on campus being a part of both social and academic organizations, and also work as a Presidential Intern within the Office of the President.

This will be my Third year involved in Texas Tech Student Government. My involvement within SGA began my Freshman Year, where I interned with the Chief Of Staff and continued my sophomore year as the Director of Outreach. This year, as the Director of Political affairs, I am working hard to be the voice lobbying for the concerns of Texas Tech University and its students to our federally elected officials.
