Ryan Hess is a junior who is originally from the Cowboy Capital of the World, Stephenville, Texas. Academically, he is seeking a dual degree in agricultural communications and media strategies with minors in public relations and political science. Within SGA, Ryan's involvement began his freshman year as an intern to the Student Body Chief of Staff – an opportunity afforded to him by the First-Year Leadership Association. He was then elected to serve in the 58th Student Senate as a representative of the Davis College of Agricultural Sciences & Natural Resources. In this position, Ryan also served as the Davis College Vice-Chair, Public Relations Vice-Chair, and Senate Parliamentarian. Currently, he is working in the 59th Session as the appointed Journal Clerk.
Across campus, Ryan also serves in multiple extracurricular capacities. He can be found in the Administration Building as a student assistant to the Office of the President. Ryan is also involved in President's Select and Agri-Techsans, where he functions as an ambassador for Texas Tech and Davis College, respectively. Additionally, he remains active in the Lubbock community as a member of the Civic Leadership Academy. Ryan is also a delegate in the Agricultural Council, where he represents Agricultural Communicators of Tomorrow. He looks forward to his administrative role in the 59th Student Senate!
