Admission Requirements

First-time Students

All students who are accepted into Texas Tech University are accepted into the General Architecture courses (Year 1). For general TTU admission requirements, see University Admissions.

Pre-Professional Program

Limited placement into the Pre-Professional Program (Years 2–4) is based upon a competitive comprehensive review of student academic performance of completed first year architecture coursework and faculty reviews of student portfolio and essay response.

Transfer and Change of Major Students

Minimum 3.0 GPA required for change of major and transfer students. Students interested in transferring should email Architecture Student Services.
