A Note of Thanks

Studying abroad can be one of the most rewarding aspects of any college career. Over the years, thousands of Texas Tech students have benefited from living and studying abroad, learning firsthand about different cultures, and returning to campus with a deepened commitment to their education. Our goal is to continue this tradition and increase access to affordable, socially beneficial, and professionally developmental study abroad opportunities for all TTU students.

International Affairs is grateful for the SACS Committee's service to the university and for support of student success. The SACS is a major source of funding that helps TTU students participate in educational opportunities around the world, and we could not do this important work without valued partners like you.

About the SACS

The Study Abroad Competitive Scholarship is funded by the $4 International Education Fee that all Texas Tech students pay every semester. The scholarship is competitive with approximately 50% of students who complete the application being awarded. TTU students who will study abroad on Texas Tech credit-bearing approved programs are eligible to apply. Students may apply and be awarded in more than one term. A committee of faculty and staff makes the determination of who will receive a scholarship. Study Abroad staff have no input in the award decision.
