What is Red Raider Orientation (RRO)? 

 Red Raider Orientation is a required on-campus experience for all new undergraduates students. At RRO, you will meet with your advisor to register for classes. You also will meet other new students who could possible become future friends. 

What is Red Raider Camp?

Red Raider Camp is an optional but encouraged activity that provides new Red Raiders the opportunity to take part in Texas Tech history and traditions while connecting with peers. 

Prepare for Advising

 

Step 1: Resolve Holds

Complete online orientation modules and resolve holds prior to orientation.

Unresolved holds may delay registration on your scheduled orientation day.

If you are planning a STEM major, we recommend taking the Math Placement Exam and the Chemistry Placement Exam before you attend RRO.

Step 2: Update Major

Ready to declare? Update your major on RaiderConnect. Exploring your options or working towards a competitive major? Skip to Step 3.

Step 3: Find Courses

DegreeWorks is your first stop to locating courses which apply towards your intended major or area of interest. Start here and curate a list of core curriculum courses for the upcoming term.  Review prerequisites for courses such as MATH 1451, CHEM 1307, and ACCT 2300 by clicking on the course name or the attribute link.

Step 4: Build a Schedule

Locate course sections, class times, locations, and instructors for potential coursework. Schedule Builder can help create a plan of what your schedule could look like. It is not used to register for classes. Create schedule options using ScheduleBuilder.

Step 5: Registration

Registration for Fall 2024 will open during your scheduled Red Raider Orientation. 

TTU Red Raider Orientation
