A major facelift for some of Texas Tech's most iconic scenes is winding down this summer. The greening of the West Library Mall and the area surrounding Tech's iconic Dairy Barn are part of a $2.5 million campus beautification project that included the university's Broadway Avenue entrance and Memorial Circle.
More than 3,800 students Texas Tech students, including 214 from the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources, received diplomas at the university's commencement ceremonies in May at United Supermarkets Arena in Lubbock.

Texas Tech University's 14th Annual Graduate Research Poster Competition recently provided an opportunity for students from across campus to present their research before they represent the university at national and international conferences. Presenters included distance students, with one student presenting via Skype from Okinawa, Japan.
Recently 62 laboratories within Texas Tech's College of Agriculture Sciences and Natural Resources were surveyed by Tech's Environmental Health and Safety Department. The surveys are conducted at least two times a year to ensure the labs are in compliance with university and federal guidelines for lab safety.
