Texas Tech University officials report record enrollment figures for the sixth-straight year as 35,134 students are in fall classes. The difference of 2,023 students from fall 2013 represents the third-largest increase in a single year since the university opened its doors in 1925.
Members of CASNR's Dr. Bill Bennett Student Success Center hosted their annual AgFest today (Aug. 28) at the Department of Animal and Food Sciences building here on campus. A summer deluge sent the gathering of students, faculty and staff into the facility's livestock arena for an afternoon of fun and information. Numerous student organizations within the college of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources were represented, as well as opportunities to speak with university guests and representatives. The program was accompanied by a live country-and-western band and hamburger dinner.
