Glenn Hill was a professor of architecture for 38 years at Texas Tech University. He currently holds a position as a part-time Instructor. He joined the faculty in 1983 after receiving his Master of Architecture with a specialization in Energy and Design from the University of Colorado and professional Bachelor of Architecture from Texas Tech University.

His research interest has focused on the integration of Energy-Responsive Design, Whole Building Design, the Integrated Design Process (IDP) and Building Information Modeling (BIM) into a theory of architecture called Integral Architecture. This exploration into Integral Architecture provides the profession with a better understanding of how the discipline of architecture can promote a more socially responsible, culturally meaningful, technologically complex, and aesthetically pleasing architecture in the 21st century. His endeavors support the profession towards achieving the AIA Architecture 2030 Challenge, which aims to decrease dramatically energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions in built environments.
