Rebecca Barnes, NOMA

Instructor

Rebecca Barnes, NOMA is an Instructor of Architecture and Project Manager at MWM Architects. A proud alumna of Texas Tech University’s College of Architecture, she earned her B.S. in Architecture (2017), M.Arch (2019), and a certificate in Healthcare Facilities Design. While at TTU, she founded and served as President of the student chapter of the National Organization of Minority Architect Students (NOMAS), leaving a lasting impact that continues through her active professional membership.

At MWM Architects, Rebecca has managed and designed projects ranging from K–12 and higher education facilities to healthcare offices, civic memorials, retail spaces, event venues, and historic renovations. Alongside practice, she serves as a Part-Time Instructor at TTU HCOA, guiding undergraduate studios and encouraging students to approach design both critically and practically.

Outside of work, Rebecca enjoys time with her husband Neil, their two grown children, two cats, and nurturing her collection of indoor and outdoor plants—with plenty of espresso in hand.
