Housing Contract Update

Texas Tech University has reached on-campus housing capacity for the upcoming academic year. Housing contracts are not available effective June 1. 

Incoming students without a completed housing contract are required to complete the Housing Exemption Process to formally document exemption from the on-campus residency requirement and release any associated housing hold, as applicable.

Students who are interested in remaining eligible for campus-secured housing may add themselves to the University Student Housing waitlist through June 15, 2026. Housing spaces that become available will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis according to waitlist submission date and time. Students who are not offered housing will be notified by July 15, 2026. 

Students should explore off-campus housing options through the University Student Housing Off-Campus Housing Office.
