Chad Plunket is the Director of the Charles Adams Studio Project (CASP). CASP is a non-profit in Lubbock, Texas that provides studio space to working artists. CASP facilities currently include: the Helen DeVitt Jones Print Studio, The CH Foundation Metals Studio & Foundry, Work Studios, Live/Work Studios, 5&J Gallery, and the 5&J Courtyard.

Chad received his Bachelor of Fine Art from Texas Tech University and earned his Master of Fine Art with an emphasis in sculpture from Clemson University. After teaching architectural delineation in the College of Architecture at TTU, he returned to school to develop his passion for design earning a Master of Landscape Architecture.

Chad continues to pursue his own artistic endeavors at his north Lubbock studio filled with paint, steel, wood, paper and a variety of tools. The work Chad produces is diverse in materials and aesthetics. The work is also diverse in terms of scale as he has created large public art pieces for Ballet Lubbock, Covenant Hospital, and the Lubbock Memorial Arboretum as well as objects that fit on a shelf. Chad's artistic output also includes collaborative endeavors with the Button Project, RJP Nomadic Gallery and Free Range Creative.

Along with his fine art pieces, Chad also executes commercial commissions for various developers and homeowners. He has completed projects for Tao Development, Blue Mesa Restaurants, the Lubbock Arts Alliance, Kappa Alpha Theta sorority, and many private residents.

Chad Plunket was born in Dunedin, New Zealand. He has in lived in Alabama, Tennessee, and Newcastle, England, before moving to Lubbock. Chad is most proud of his two boys, Logan and Sawyer, ages 11 and 8 respectively. He continues to follow his boyhood heroes at the Newcastle United Football Club and the New Zealand Black Caps national cricket team.
