Dr. Kwanghee Jung, an Associate Professor of Educational Psychology at Texas Tech University, specializes in the intersection of advanced statistical innovation and practical educational solutions. With a Ph.D. in Quantitative Psychology from McGill University, his work is dedicated to bridging the gap between complex data and real-world impact.

His research interests and their interdisciplinary impacts are integrated through the following key areas:

  • Advanced Modeling and Foundational Analysis: He develops and applies cutting-edge methodologies—including Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), Multilevel/Longitudinal Modeling, and Generalized Structured Component Analysis (GSCA)—to solve complex questions across the learning sciences and provide tools for examining intricate behavioral structures.
  • Predictive Analytics for Student Success: By utilizing neural networks, Bayesian modeling, and machine learning, he creates "early alert" dashboards and predictive models that directly improve institutional research and enhance higher education persistence.
  • Cognitive Psychometrics and Neuroimaging: His work extends to brain connectivity research, where he applies dynamic component analysis to neuroimaging data and develops multidimensional psychometric models to better understand functionally integrated cognitive processes.
  • Interactive Technology and STEM Learning: He investigates the use of Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), and robotics to transform digital storytelling and enhance computational thinking within K-12 and STEM education
