• Complete 60-66 hours of prerequisite courses (depending on your concentration)

• Meet with your pre-TechTeach advisor once a semester to stay on track

Apply to TechTeach

• You'll know your ready to apply to TechTeach when you meet all the requirements:
  
  • Finish pre-TechTeach courses
  • Have a 2.75 GPA
  • Get the go-ahead from your pre-TechTeach advisor
• TechTeach applications open in the Spring, and you'll get an email from your advising team to let you know when they open
• The application process has three main steps:
  1. Interview with a faculty member
  2. Pay application fee and set up required accounts
  3. Sign up for a TechTeach workshop for an overview of the program's details

TechTeach

TechTeach is broken into two years:

Year 1

• On TTU campus four days a week taking classes
• Student teaching one day a week for hands-on learning and observation
• Study for and complete your teacher certification exam(s)

Year 2

• Student teaching four days a week
• On TTU campus one day a week taking classes
• You get an iPad (to keep!) to help as a teaching tool
• Your site coordinator and mentor teacher will help you along your path to becoming a teacher

Graduation

• You made it! Congratulations!
• There is a Teacher Job Fair in the Spring semester of your last year:
  • Our teachers have a 100% Job Placement Rate
  • The TTU Career Center can help you with interview prep, resume review, headshots and more
• We hold an Induction Ceremony to celebrate your entry into the field of professional educators
