Planning ahead helps us support you better.

The following timelines are recommendations based on typical planning needs and university processes. Beginning early allows more time for coordination, marketing, logistics, and collaboration.

College of Education Planning Resources

When is Anthology paperwork required?

Anthology paperwork is required any time your event receives an external payment, sponsorship, or in-kind gift to cover event expenses. This includes:

  • Cash or check payments from a corporate or individual sponsor
  • Vendor-donated goods or services with a monetary value
  • External grants or awards designated for a specific event

Note: When in doubt, email emily.powell@ttu.edu before your event.

All Anthology-related paperwork must be coordinated with the Advancement Office at least 8 weeks before your event.

RSVPs and Registration

Texas Tech offers several options for event RSVPs, ticketing, and registration. Use the guide below to find the right fit for your event.

Free Internal or External Event Ticketed or Paid Registration Sponsored Event
Free event with a straightforward headcount. No payment or ticketing needed. Event with ticket sales or paid registration. Requires platform setup at least 6 weeks out. Event receiving external funding, sponsorship, or in-kind gifts. Requires Anthology paperwork and Advancement Office coordination at least 8 weeks out. This allows gifts to be properly tracked and stewarded.

College of Education Event Calendar

The College of Education Event Calendar is an internal planning resource for faculty and staff.

The calendar helps departments:

  • Stay informed about upcoming College events.
  • Avoid scheduling conflicts.
  • Identify opportunities for collaboration.
  • Increase visibility across the College.

The calendar is intended for events and programming that impact or engage the broader College of Education community.

It does not include routine departmental meetings, committee meetings, or individual office meetings.

Do I have to submit every event through PACE?

We encourage faculty and staff to submit events to the College Event Calendar to increase visibility and help avoid scheduling conflicts.

What does PACE do?

PACE serves as the College's event coordination team, connecting event organizers with the appropriate resources, offices, and planning support.

Can PACE help me plan my event?

Yes. Whether you're planning your first event or coordinating a large Signature Experience, PACE is available to help.

Does PACE approve events?

No. PACE is a support and coordination resource. The committee does not approve or deny events.

What if I don't know where to start?
