Scholarship to be awarded to any student pursuing a career in teaching. The student will have a minimum GPA of 2.5. Financial need preferred but not mandatory.

Used at the discretion of the Dean of the College of Education, but with a preference for a use associated with the arts

The income from the endowment shall provide funding for the scholarships. Two 1,000 scholarships will be awarded annually to students majoring in Education, having a grade point average of 2.5 and classified as a freshman, junior, sophomore or senior. Financial need is to be considered. Preference is given to students graduating from High Schools with graduating classes of one hundred or less. Deserving minority students will have first priority in the selection of the recipients. No single award is to exceed $1,000. when sufficient funding is available, a second scholarship will be initiated.

For senior women students who have been admitted to the teacher education program and plan to pursue careers in teaching. Recipient must have a 3.0 GPA and documented need.

Scholarships will be awarded to an undergraduate student majoring in Multidisciplinary Science with a GPA of 3.0 or above and planning to teach secondary math or science.

The earnings from the interest will be used to award a scholarship to a junior or senior education major with a grade point average of 3.0 or above. Financial need may be considered but is nota specified criteria for selection.

The scholarship shall be awarded to junior or senior Elementary Education majors with a grade point average of 3.0 or above and music specialization, or a music major with a teaching certification. The recipient must have a principle interest in piano or voice and stated intent to teach elementary music education. the scholarship committee from the School of Music and the College of Education shall select the recipient.

Scholarship for the purpose of Elementary Education students to graduates of Snyder High School with a GPA of 3.0

To provide scholarships to a junior and senior level students majoring in education, seeking certification to teach science in secondary schools.

For undergraduate students pursuing a career in teaching.

Scholarships for students who are student teaching throught the TechTeach Across Texas Program or its equivalent. First preference are student teachers teaching within Lubbock Independent School District; and second preference are student teachers teaching within schools located in Lubbock County; and third preference are student teachers teaching within schools located in the Texas South Plains region.

For a senior education student enrolled in the College of Education from West Texas

The scholarship is to be given to a senior who has a minimum GPA of 3.0, who is student teaching in grades 1-5 during the semester of the award, and who has financial need.

For undergraduate elementary student teachers in the College of Education with a grade point average of 3.0 or above. Award received in full during student teaching semester.

For Elementary Education student enrolled at Texas Tech full time. Must maintain a 3.0 grade point and be a resident of Texas. They should also be a junior or senior

To provide scholarship support in the form of recognition and financial assistance for students pursuing a degree in elementary education

Undergraduate student in the College of Education who has a desire to teach at the elementary grade levels. Must have a 3.0 GPA or above. Financial need may be considered but is nota specified criteria for selection. Preference for a student who volunteers or serves in the communnity, school or campus.

This fund will provide undergraduate scholarships to students enrolled within the College of Education in the Dallas TechTeach program and who have at least a 3.0 GPA

Undergraduate student in the TechTeach program with a 3.0 GPA or above. If the TechTeach program should cease to exist, preference will be given to a Colege of Education student enrolled in the current student teaching program.

Be a full time undergraduate student enrolled in or accepted to the University. Be enrolled in or accepted for admission to the College of Education as a student in elementary education. Have a GPA of at least 3.0 or above. Have a demonstrated financial need. First preference will be given to recipients with special interest in teaching mathematics in elementary education.

This scholarship is intended to assist a Freshman student who has applied for enrollment in the College of Education. If no student in the College of Education meets the criteria, the scholarship may be offered to a qualifying student in 2nd preference, the College of Agricultural Sciences & Natural Resources, or 3rd preference, the Whitacre College of Engineering. If no Freshmen meet the criteria, the scholarship may be awarded to other undergraduate students with preference given to a South Plains College transfer student of which the first preference of the transfer student be a graduate of Brownfield Independent School District (Brownfield, Texas); Second preference is a graduate of Wellman Union School District and third preference to Meadow School District or any high school in Terry County.

5. Maintain a 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale or equivalent while receiving the scholarship.

Good standing with a 3.0 GPA of above. Currently enrolled full-time with 12 hours or more. A junior or senior pursuing a career in teaching. Financial need may be considered but preference will be given to students not receiving federal or state grants. Demonstrated campus involvement. Must be a Texas resident and a citizen of the US. Endowment earnings shall be awarded annually, not held for future years.

This fund will provide undergraduate scholarships to students enrolled within the College of Education who are from West Texas with a preference for students focused on instructional technology.

3.0 GPA. Freshman-Senior

For an undergraduate student with a strong desire to teach special education. Student must have a GPA of 2.5 or above.

For entering freshman majoring in Education, based on financial need and academic qualifications

For undergraduate students in the College of Education with a grade point average of 3.5 or above. Recipients must be Texas residents.

3.0 GPA Freshman-Senior College of Education

Scholarships for undergraduate students enrolled in a degree plan in the College of Education

Scholarship to support an undergraduate student who is enrolled in the College of Education. The student must demonstrate satisfactory academic performance of 2.50 GPA or above. Scholarship is renewable

Undergraduate student who has completed 60 hours of course work and must show financial need.

Undergraduate student in College of Education preferably from a small town or rural area with a 3.0 GPA or above. Financial need may be considered but is not a specified criteria for selection.

Undergraduate student in the College of Education who desires to teach middle level. Must have a 3.0 GPA or above. Financial need may be considered but is not a specified criteria for selection.

Scholarship to support full-time undergraduate students who demonstrate financial need and are majoring in the College of Education. Students must demonstrate satisfactory academic performance of a 2.75 GPA or above.

Sophomore through senior level students. Good standing with a 3.0 GPA or above. Fincancial aid eligible.

Scholarships to be awarded in alternating years to an undergraduate student athlete enrolled full-time in the Jerry S. Rawls College of Business, and an undergraduate student enrolled full-time in the College of Education with a preference to students from south Texas.

Awarded to undergraduate students in the College of Education who has demonstrated financial need and expressed interest in elementary education

Scholarships for students enrolled in the College of Education who are interested in teaching Social Studies

Student must be in College of Education; student must plan to teach in elementary school, and the students must help the College and University meet their goals of access and diversity.

The purpose of the endowment is to provide scholarships for students in the College of Education as they prepare to be future teachers. Criteria for selection will be determined by the College of Education Scholarship Committee.

To be awarded to students who are committed to teaching grades 10-12 in public schools. The recipient should be in a good standing and have a minimum GPA of at least 2.25

For College of Education students who maintain a 2.75 GPA and have a desire to teach. Students must demonstrate financial need.

This fund will provide scholarships to students enrolled within the College of Education. Students will have a financial need and a minimum GPA of 2.5 Scholarships will preferably be awarded in the amount of no less than $1,500 per semester depending on the availability of funds.

To be awarded to College of Education undergraduate student(s) who were involved in a student leadership organization in high school or are involved in a student leadership organization at Texas Tech

scholarship support and to cover cost of state content exams/teacher cert exams in TTAT in Hill Country. *$40K is to be awarded in spring 2024.

To be awarded to a College of Education undergraduate student who graduated from Lubbock ISD. If there are no students that meet this criteria, the scholarship should be awarded to a College of Education undergraduate student who graduated from a school district surrounding Lubbock.

Scholarship to support full-time undergraduate students who demonstrate financial need and are majoring in the College of Education. Students must demonstrate satisfactory academic performance of a 2.75 GPA or above. *Note - 60K is being added to this scholarship in the new year.

Scholarships to be awarded for $10,000 to two students ($5,000 each). The recipients wll be selected by the college based on the following: minimum 3.0 GPA, must have completed theri freshman year, first preference given to students from Garza county, second preference to students from Gaines, Dawson, Borden, Scurry, Kent, Lynn, Terry, Yoakum, Cochran, Hockley, Lubbock, Crosby, Dickens, Motley, Floyd, Hale, Lamb or Baily county. All funds to be spent by 8/15/24

full-time undergraduate student in the College of Education with a 3.0 GPA or higher. This scholarship will award a total of $1,000 per academic year with $500 awarded in the fall and $500 awarded in the spring. Preference to a student that is part of a student organization on the Texas Tech University - Lubbock campus.

The gift will support College of Education students who are student teaching in a rural school district outside of Lubbock that intend to teach in a rural school district outside of Lubbock after graduation. These students are dedicated to making a difference in a rural school district and community, and with your gift, they can be supported financially as they work towards their degree

The goal is to support students enrolled in the Rapid Access Instructional Degree for Educational Readiness (RAIDER) certification in Lubbock and the surrounding communities. Funds will be used to provide scholarship funding to students in Lubbock and surrounding areas that are seeking their alternative teaching certification through the College of Education.
