Scholarship to be awarded to any student pursuing a career in teaching. The student will have a minimum GPA of 2.5. Financial need preferred but not mandatory.
Margaret J Martin Endowment
Used at the discretion of the Dean of the College of Education, but with a preference for a use associated with the arts
Archie Sims Endowed Scholarship
The income from the endowment shall provide funding for the scholarships. Two 1,000 scholarships will be awarded annually to students majoring in Education, having a grade point average of 2.5 and classified as a freshman, junior, sophomore or senior. Financial need is to be considered. Preference is given to students graduating from High Schools with graduating classes of one hundred or less. Deserving minority students will have first priority in the selection of the recipients. No single award is to exceed $1,000. when sufficient funding is available, a second scholarship will be initiated.
Mary W Doak Grant Endowment
For senior women students who have been admitted to the teacher education program and plan to pursue careers in teaching. Recipient must have a 3.0 GPA and documented need.
Terry and Linda Fuller Education Scholarship Endowment
Scholarships will be awarded to an undergraduate student majoring in Multidisciplinary Science with a GPA of 3.0 or above and planning to teach secondary math or science.
Nat H Williams Endowed Scholarship
The earnings from the interest will be used to award a scholarship to a junior or senior education major with a grade point average of 3.0 or above. Financial need may be considered but is nota specified criteria for selection.
Dorothy Magee Sharbutt Music Education Scholarship Endowment
The scholarship shall be awarded to junior or senior Elementary Education majors with a grade point average of 3.0 or above and music specialization, or a music major with a teaching certification. The recipient must have a principle interest in piano or voice and stated intent to teach elementary music education. the scholarship committee from the School of Music and the College of Education shall select the recipient.

Ouida Daugherty Smith Undergraduate Scholarship in Education
This fund will provide undergraduate scholarships to students enrolled within the College of Education in the Dallas TechTeach program and who have at least a 3.0 GPA
Dr Scott and Kris Ridley Scholarship in Education
Undergraduate student in the TechTeach program with a 3.0 GPA or above. If the TechTeach program should cease to exist, preference will be given to a Colege of Education student enrolled in the current student teaching program.
Katherine Graham Kilman Scholarship in Elementary Education
Be a full time undergraduate student enrolled in or accepted to the University. Be enrolled in or accepted for admission to the College of Education as a student in elementary education. Have a GPA of at least 3.0 or above. Have a demonstrated financial need. First preference will be given to recipients with special interest in teaching mathematics in elementary education.
Guin Don and Mary Jane Clement Scholarship Endowment
This scholarship is intended to assist a Freshman student who has applied for enrollment in the College of Education. If no student in the College of Education meets the criteria, the scholarship may be offered to a qualifying student in 2nd preference, the College of Agricultural Sciences & Natural Resources, or 3rd preference, the Whitacre College of Engineering. If no Freshmen meet the criteria, the scholarship may be awarded to other undergraduate students with preference given to a South Plains College transfer student of which the first preference of the transfer student be a graduate of Brownfield Independent School District (Brownfield, Texas); Second preference is a graduate of Wellman Union School District and third preference to Meadow School District or any high school in Terry County.

Wayne James Scholarship Endowment in the College of Education
Good standing with a 3.0 GPA of above. Currently enrolled full-time with 12 hours or more. A junior or senior pursuing a career in teaching. Financial need may be considered but preference will be given to students not receiving federal or state grants. Demonstrated campus involvement. Must be a Texas resident and a citizen of the US. Endowment earnings shall be awarded annually, not held for future years.

To be awarded to a College of Education undergraduate student who graduated from Lubbock ISD. If there are no students that meet this criteria, the scholarship should be awarded to a College of Education undergraduate student who graduated from a school district surrounding Lubbock.
Mildred Welch Garrison Scholarship in Education
Scholarship to support full-time undergraduate students who demonstrate financial need and are majoring in the College of Education. Students must demonstrate satisfactory academic performance of a 2.75 GPA or above. *Note - 60K is being added to this scholarship in the new year.
Maxine Durrett Earl Charitable Foundation Scholarship in Education
Scholarships to be awarded for $10,000 to two students ($5,000 each). The recipients wll be selected by the college based on the following: minimum 3.0 GPA, must have completed theri freshman year, first preference given to students from Garza county, second preference to students from Gaines, Dawson, Borden, Scurry, Kent, Lynn, Terry, Yoakum, Cochran, Hockley, Lubbock, Crosby, Dickens, Motley, Floyd, Hale, Lamb or Baily county. Marvelle Muntzel Memorial Scholarship
full-time undergraduate student in the College of Education with a 3.0 GPA or higher. This scholarship will award a total of $1,000 per academic year with $500 awarded in the fall and $500 awarded in the spring. Preference to a student that is part of a student organization on the Texas Tech University - Lubbock campus.
Helen Jones Foundation 2025 Future Rural Teaching Support
The gift will support College of Education students who are student teaching in a rural school district outside of Lubbock that intend to teach in a rural school district outside of Lubbock after graduation. The CH Foundation West Texas RAIDER Teach Scholarship Support
The goal is to support students enrolled in the Rapid Access Instructional Degree for Educational Readiness (RAIDER) certification in Lubbock and the surrounding communities. Funds will be used to provide scholarship funding to students in Lubbock and surrounding areas that are seeking their alternative teaching certification through the College of Education.
