College of Education in the Spring

RRO Steps and Process

Texas Tech's RRO is made up of three parts:

Part 1) Online Modules

  • RRO Online Modules will introduce you to the resources and services provided to you as a Texas Tech student.
  • These online modules must be completed prior to your RRO Advising & Registration session. Your "Academic Orientation" hold will only be removed on your session date AFTER you complete all of your modules.
  • Be sure to use the admitted student tasklist to help you navigate.
  • Make sure you've set up your TTU Email!

Part 2) Check-in

Check-in at the Student Union Building (SUB)

To make your RRO and Advising session go as smoothly as possible if you've not already completed the content interest form, please do so prior to your advising session.

Advising Process:

  • During your appointment you will learn and discuss the following:
    • Your Degree Plan
      • What courses are required by Texas Tech and the College of Education to graduate.
    • If you are a transfer student or a dual credit student, your advisor will review your previous transcripts and apply transferable credits to your degree plan.
    • Confirm that all of your holds have been removed.
    • Schedule Builder and how to register for classes.

Step 4) Register for classes

  • After you have met all of the requirements set by Orientation Services, have removed all of your holds and met with your academic advisor you will be ready to register for classes.
  • You may begin to register after 1:00 when registration opens.  The college advising team will be available at RRO Registration Advising. If you have questions about courses or registration, just drop in and we will be glad to assist you.

Part 3) Raider Welcome
