Julie K. Meyer
Julie Meyer has more than 39 years banking experience, both in commercial lending and retail banking. She is currently Senior Vice President and Market President for Independent Financial. Since her career began with Mercantile Bank in January 1984, Meyer has held positions with Chase Bank, Bank of Texas, Bank One and Northstar Bank of Texas.
Meyer currently sits on the Excellence in Banking Advisory Board for the Rawls College of Business as well as the Texas Tech School of Banking. She also is an emeritus member of the Rawls Advisory Council. Meyer currently serves on the Texas Tech Alumni Association National Board of Directors. Meyer currently sits on the Board of Members for the Flower Mound Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital and also serves on the Business Advisory Committee and Finance Committee for the Lewisville Independent School District. Meyer also served as Chairman for the Flower Mound Chamber of Commerce and served as Founder and Board Member for the Flower Mound Rotary Chapter. In the past she has served on the boards for Parenting Alone and PediPlace, a nonprofit aiding children with no medical insurance. She also has chaired the membership committee for Coppell Chamber of Commerce, been a member of Commercial Real Estate for Women and served on two grant cycles for Dallas Women's Foundation and on the grant committee for United Way of Denton County. She previously chaired the membership committee for the Rawls Advisory Council. Meyer is also active in Irving Bible Church.
Meyer earned a B.B.A. in Finance in from Texas Tech University in 1983.
