Spencer Hayes is an Executive Managing Director at Cushman & Wakefield, based in Austin, Texas. With over three decades of experience in commercial real estate, Spencer has distinguished himself as a dynamic leader, strategic advisor, and prolific producer.

Spencer began his career at Trammell Crow Company and spent formative years at Cushman & Wakefield and Colliers International before co-founding Oxford Commercial in 1993. Under his leadership, Oxford became a market leader in Austin, and in 2016, Spencer successfully negotiated the firm's sale to Cushman & Wakefield. Following the acquisition, he served as Managing Principal for Cushman & Wakefield’s Austin/San Antonio offices, guiding the business through a period of significant expansion. During his five-year tenure in that role, the operation grew by more than 350% and broadened its service lines and client base.

Today, Spencer continues to serve clients as a senior advisor, specializing in consulting, investment, development, and office and tech/flex space strategy. Throughout his career, he has been involved in transactions totaling over 6 million square feet of leases and 1 million square feet in property sales across Austin and international markets.

A Texas Tech University alumnus, Spencer earned his BBA in Finance and Real Estate from the Rawls College of Business and later completed his MBA in Finance at the Texas McCombs School of Business. He is active with NAIOP, where he serves on the Austin Chapter Board, and is widely recognized as one of the most respected professionals in his market.
