Commercial Banking Undergraduate Certificate

The Excellence in Banking program allows finance majors to earn an undergraduate certificate in commercial banking.

The Excellence in Banking program is designed to prepare undergraduate finance majors for careers in commercial banking. Students in the Excellence in Banking program take four courses related to the commercial banking industry and upon graduation will receive a as well as their BBA degree in Finance. Three of the four courses in the Excellence in Banking program can be used to fulfill the nine hours of electives for finance majors.

Scholarships

Special scholarship opportunities are available to students enrolled in the Excellence in Banking program. In order to become eligible for a scholarship (and to remain eligible), students must have at least a 3.25 GPA.

Internships

Excellence in Banking students will receive top priority for paid internship positions with banks across the state of Texas.

When to Apply

Students should apply upon completion of FIN 3320 with a grade of B- or better, but no later than the end of Fall semester junior year.
