Big Data Symposium

Big Data Symposium

For years, IT has been driving the business world with numerous innovative applications and business concepts. In the last three years, big data has emerged as a cutting-edge IT initiative worldwide. As part of this trend, the Rawls College has been implementing new research and coursework to innovate big data analytics. Every Spring semester, the Area of ISQS hosts a big data symposium to move beyond the basic concepts of big data to include partnerships between academia and industry.

The objectives are to identify trends driven by big data, to conceive strategies to take advantage of opportunities and to form collaborations for future efforts across industry and academia. Additionally, there are multiple sessions on strategy, technology and business-related topics. The symposium is open to the public and welcomes any faculty, student or business interested in the topics.
