Jay Chapa
Jay Chapa is Principal of J Chapa Strategic Solutions LLC in Fort Worth, Texas. After nearly 30 years of experience in local government, Jay provides strategic advisory services to local governments, public agencies, development entities and businesses seeking assistance with economic development or project coordination.
Jay spent 25 years with the City of Fort Worth in a variety of leadership roles culminating as Deputy City Manager. During his tenure, Jay was responsible for a variety of departments and intitiatives in managing and running the City including eonomic development, police, transportation/public works, finance and public events/tourism. Jay has been instrumental in seeing a variety of projects and intitiatives come to fruition over the last two decades in Fort Worth that have helped the City grow to be the 12th largest in the nation. Projects have resulted in the investment of well over $15 billion in new development including the transformations of downtown, the Fort Worth Stockyards and the Southside Hospital District.
Jay serves on the board of the Real Estate Council of Greater Fort Worth, the Mayor's Blue Ribbon Committee on Child Care, the Sterring Committee of CDFI Friendly Fort Worth and the Mayor's Council on Education and Work Force.
Jay is married to a fellow Red Raider, Evalis (TTU, 1991) and they have one daughter, Emilia Raquel. Jay enjoys rooting for all things TTU, traveling, golf, cooking and concerts along with a variety of commutiy activities.
