Meg Mooz

Mooz is responsible for acquisitions, developments, and recapitalizations at MorningStar. Since joining the company in 2025 as vice president, she has led the close of approximately $1.5 billion in transactions, while building an additional pipeline of more than $1 billion in acquisition and development opportunities.  

Prior to MorningStar, Mooz was managing director at Hines, a global real estate development leader, where she led the firm’s senior living efforts across the Western U.S. She began her career at Hines in 2018 and advanced from intern to analyst, director, and ultimately managing director. Her 2022 promotion made her the youngest officer in Hines’ nearly 70-year history.  

Mooz holds a degree in finance with a concentration in real estate from Texas Tech University’s Rawls College of Business, where she graduated summa cum laude in three years with a 4.0 GPA. Her involvement and passion for Texas Tech did not stop at graduation, it has only grown. In 2020, she founded the TTU Real Estate Alumni Network, now the John and Rachel Brownlee Center for Real Estate. She formerly chaired the center’s Recent Alumni Board and now serves on the Center’s Advisory Council.
