The Rawls College hosted the Spring 2018 career fair, the largest recruitment event of the semester, at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center Feb. 21. The event, organized by the Career Management Center (CMC), allowed students the opportunity to network with 118 employers looking for all majors and disciplines within the Rawls College.

In addition to learning about specific full-time and internship employment opportunities, the event also provided students a venue to practice their networking skills and develop a base of contacts to use in the future.

"The career fair was a huge success. This was the largest spring fair the Rawls College has had in quite some time," said Laura Sanders, director of career services for the CMC. "We were very pleased with our turnout given the cold weather and flight delays out of Dallas. We are thankful to our employers, faculty and staff for being committed to Rawls College students' success."

In the two days following the fair, 22 companies conducted a total of 317 interviews.

The Fall 2018 Career Fair will take place Wednesday, Oct. 3.
