Real Estate Panel

The Rawls College, in conjunction with the Real Estate Organization (REO), hosted a Real Estate Panel March 1, with six Rawls College Advisory Council members. The members, with varying experiences in real estate ranging from brokerage to lending, spoke to students about the industry and provided advice about pursuing a real estate career.

With Jared Harrell, assistant professor of practice in finance and REO faculty advisor, moderating the panel, the panelists started by discussing their background in real estate and why they chose to pursue career in the industry. They went on to talk about what the benefits of a career in real estate are, what avenues are available, what personality characteristics and skills are needed, what lessons the panelists have learned since starting their careers, among other topics. Students then had the opportunity to ask questions and following the panel, had the opportunity to network with the members.

• Keith Donahoe
