Dr. Andrew Gibb is an associate professor of Theatre History, Theory, and Criticism in the School of Theatre and Dance, and serves as an assistant dean for the J.T. & Margaret Talkington College of Visual and Performing Arts.

A theatre historian whose work focuses on performance in the North American Far West, Dr. Gibb is the author of Californios, Anglos, and the Performance of Oligarchy in the U.S. West (Southern Illinois UP, 2018), and has published essays in Theatre History Studies, the New England Theatre Journal, the Latin American Theatre Review, Theatre Symposium, and the Texas Theatre Journal. He edited the journal Theatre Symposium, and was elected Vice President for Conference for the Association for Theatre in Higher Education (ATHE).
