Marfa Intensives
Every summer, students and guest artists travel to Marfa, Texas for an unforgettable 10-day devised theatre intensive, immersing themselves in the community while engaging with the world-renowned art installations to create a performance inspired by their experience.
The Arts in Prague
The Arts is Prague is a month-long summer study abroad program open to undergraduate and graduate students who are interested in studying U.S. and international arts policy, funding and education. In addition, students attend the Prague Fringe Theatre Festival and critically assess myriad arts events (music, dance, theatre, museum, etc.) throughout the city.
Tennessee Williams Institute
TWI is a graduate-level immersion course that takes place during the Tennessee Williams Theater Festival in Provincetown, Massachusetts, where students participate in a series of private seminars with internationally renowned scholars. The semester-long course focuses on historical and critical perspectives on Tennessee Williams and other playwrights/themes. In addition to hosting a wide array of performances from companies across the globe, the festival offers an opportunity to meet with theatre professionals and witness theatre in both site-specific and found spaces.
WildWind Performance Lab
WildWind is a month-long summer intensive laboratory that challenges students to develop skills in their primary discipline as well as across the entire theatrical spectrum. Students learn from and collaborate with national and international guest artists, encouraging process over product. They also take part in an innovative play development process serving both TTU students and professional playwrights.
