William oversees and teaches the School of Theatre and Dance's Introduction to Cinema
courses. His scholarship is focused on mediated immersive performance and the horror
genre, with emphasis on the ongoing evolution of immersivity in mediated performances
post-pandemic. William earned two degrees in Literature from Austin Peay State University
and is completing his Ph.D. in Fine Arts at Texas Tech. Prior to coming to Tech, William
taught at West Texas A&M, Austin Peay State University, and Nashville State.
