Based on Greek and Roman mythology, Orfeo ed Euridice is the story of a musician’s quest to reclaim his lost love from the darkness into which she has fallen. Timeless and timely, this production marks a departure from operatic productions of the past setting the story against the backdrop of a modern refugee crisis in which Orfeo and Euridice, like many around the world today, are fleeing war, violence, poverty, and oppression when tragedy befalls them. In a visually arresting multimedia presentation with imagery by artist and TTU Associate Professor Mallory Prucha.

Sung in Italian with English supertitles.
