Nadja Leonhard-Hooper is a Minnesota-raised, Brooklyn-based playwright & performer who specializes in dark comedies about human and non-human animals. Her plays include The Collision and What Came After, or, GUNCH!, (Two Headed Rep, 59E59) Eat the Devil (One Year Lease Theater Company / The Tank), here comes the tide/there goes the girl (Edinburgh Fringe Festival), and Vera & Valya & The Magical One Cat Circus (Dixon Place /Standard Toykraft).

She is a proud member of the OBIE award-winning EST/Youngblood and a happy recipient of an EST/ Sloan Project commission, and is a co-founder of the community-based writer's residency Hot Bread 4 Writers.
