Llano River Field Station receives education and public service award

The Llano River Field Station, the strategic arm of the Texas Tech University Center at Junction, has been presented this year's 'Education and Public Service Award' by the Universities Council on Water Resources. Researchers at the field station, including several from the Tech's College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources, collaborate on studying and solving the issues of the region and beyond, including watershed, range science and environmental education and public engagement.

GALLERY: Dairy Barn goes green with new Tech campus beautification project

A major facelift for some of Texas Tech's most iconic scenes is winding down this summer. The greening of the West Library Mall and the area surrounding Tech's iconic Dairy Barn are part of a $2.5 million campus beautification project that included the university's Broadway Avenue entrance and Memorial Circle.

CASNR students take top honors at graduate research poster competition

Texas Tech University's 14th Annual Graduate Research Poster Competition recently provided an opportunity for students from across campus to present their research before they represent the university at national and international conferences. Presenters included distance students, with one student presenting via Skype from Okinawa, Japan.
