Ongoing Strategic Efforts
Growth of Physical Spaces
We've partnered with DumontJanks to provide data to inform and guide how our campus
may continue to grow. This effort will be led by Cindy Akers, vice provost for administrative
affairs and Sean Childers, associate vice president for operations.
Considering our institutional goals, academic programs and student life needs, analysis
will be done to determine how space is currently being used and how individuals navigate
our campus.

Enrollment Planning
Our ability to adapt and thrive in a changing environment hinges on our ability to
strategically plan for the future of enrollment at Texas Tech.
As a result, we kicked off our first comprehensive Strategic Enrollment Planning in
September. This inclusive process will help the university understand more about enrollment
trends, ideate plans for the impending enrollment cliff, and identify ways for Texas
Tech to maintain and grow competitive positioning.

Budget Working Committee
Texas Tech University's operating budget had increased due in part to additional support
from the state legislature. This funding, along with support from the Texas University
Fund (TUF), will provide us with a unique opportunity to better invest in our people.
To this end, Texas Tech has adopted a policy to maintain currently approved levels
for total resident undergraduate academic costs, including tuition, mandatory academic
fees, all academic-related general fees, and college course fees for the next two
academic years (AY 2023-24 and AY 2024-25).

University Strategic Plan
Texas Tech University's Strategic Plan, A Foundation for the Next Century | A Pathway
to 2025, focuses on three primary, comprehensive areas of focus as the university
nears completion of its first century of service. This plan will provide a framework
for the university moving forward and support our efforts to solidify Texas Tech's
position as a premier public research university.
