Larry Autrey received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance from Texas Tech University in 1984, followed by a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Data Analytics from Abilene Christian University. Autrey has more than 30 years of tax, advisory, and business valuation experience focused on public and private clients. He has served as the CEO and Managing Partner for Whitley Penn for more than 20 years. Through his leadership, the firm has grown to near 900 employees with nine offices throughout Texas and New Mexico.

Larry was formerly on the Cook Children’s Hospital Board of Trustees, the Texas Land Conservancy Board, the Community Enrichment Center Board, and was the Chairman for the Community Foundation of North Texas. He has served as the Chairman of the Board and Vice Chairman for the ACH Child & Family Services Foundation, National Advisory Board Member for BBVA Compass, Chairman of the Tarrant County United Way – Alexis de Tocqueville Society, Chairman of the Fort Worth Chapter Young Presidents Organization, Chairman of The Bridge Youth Shelter, Chairman of the World President’s Organization and a board member and Assistant Treasurer for the Child Study Center of Fort Worth, among many other board roles for non-profits in the areas of land conservation, children’s advocacy groups, and organizations supporting health and the arts, to name a few.

Within the accounting profession, Larry has served as the Day Chairman for the Major Firms Group, a global board member for Nexia International, a national advisory board member for BBVA Compass, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TXCPA).

Larry and his wife, Tiffany, enjoy spending time in Cashiers, NC, where they play golf, tennis, and pickleball in the cool mountain air.
