Meet the Industry is the recruiting process specifically designed for Energy Commerce
students pursuing careers in the energy industry. This series of events connects students
to energy companies of all sizes in an effort to secure internships and full-time
opportunities after graduation.
The Rawls College has formulated recruiting partnerships with an extensive list of
energy companies representing all of the major energy centers. Firms that have regularly
participated in the past include Apache, Basic Energy Services, BP, Chesapeake Energy,
Chevron, Concho, ConocoPhillips, EnLink Midstream, Equinor, Hilcorp, Marathon Oil,
Mewbourne Oil, Occidental Petroleum Corporation, Ovintiv, Phillips66, Plains All American,
Pioneer Natural Resources, SM Energy, Southwestern Energy, and XTO Energy (ExxonMobil).
Meet the Industry occurs during the fall semester each year.
*Meet the Industry is only open to students who have been accepted into the program
and have meet all requirements to participate in recruiting including resume prep,
mock interviews, boot camp, etc.
