The Advisory Council represents the Centers core mission of strategic leadership and industry collaboration. Its members ensure that the Texas Tech Real Estate Program remains nationally competitive, deeply connected to market needs, and impactful in preparing future leaders.

Membership & Responsibilities
The Advisory Councils expertise keeps the Center for Real Estate forward-thinking, industry-relevant, and closely connected to the professional community.
The Recent Alumni Board welcomes high-potential graduates within 15 years of graduation who are actively building their careers in commercial real estate. Members are selected through an application process and serve renewable two-year terms, and they play a vital role in mentoring students, sharing early-career insights, and building a strong alumni network.
Council responsibilities include:
- Attending biannual meetings (Fall and Spring)
- Participating in Council committees such as curriculum, mentorship, events, or fundraising
- Supporting student development through internships, job placements, and mentorship
- Promoting the Centers mission within the industry
In addition to their volunteer leadership, Advisory Council members have the opportunity to:
- Access to an elite professional network of industry leaders and talented students
- Engage in research opportunities with faculty experts
- Serve as internship sponsors and mentors
