Douglas Deaton has nearly 20 years of experience in the finance industry. Based out of Austin, Texas, Douglas is currently the Senior Vice President for Morgan Stanley. Douglas works with business owners, senior executives, family offices, and individual investors that have created complex personal and business financial circumstances that require careful planning for exit strategies as well as estate and financial planning strategies.

Prior to moving his practice to Morgan Stanley in 2019, Doug was a Senior Financial Advisor at AB Bernstein Private Wealth Management, initially joining the firm in 2004. Doug has also held several leadership roles with the following companies: Caerus Energy, Sammons Corporation, and Nortel Networks. Douglas earned his B.A. in marketing at Texas Tech in 1993, where he was also involved with Tau Kappa Epsilon and The Marketing Association. He previously served on advisory boards for St. Rita Catholic High School and Dallas Big Brothers/Big Sisters. He is also a member of the Dallas Jesuit High School Alumni Association.

Douglas and his wife, Rachel (Texas Tech, 1993), have four children: Madelyn, James, Jackson, and Eleanor. He enjoys traveling, particularly taking family vacations in the Rocky Mountains. Douglas also enjoys hunting, fishing, and snow skiing.
